Microchipping
- Lost animals are the number-one cause of pet deaths
- 10 million pets are lost every year
- Without a microchip, 90 percent of lost pets will NEVER return home
Home Again has reunited nearly 500,000 lost dogs and cats with their families. This microchip provides all clients with a complimentary $3,000 accident insurance policy in the event that a pet is injured or becomes ill while lost.
Our doctors recommend all our patients be implanted with a Home Again microchip. Collars and identification may be easily removed, but microchips are a permanent form of identification. Owners of microchipped pets have more resources available when a pet is lost. The chip is implanted under the skin and can be scanned by all local veterinarians and humane societies.
When a pet is implanted with a Home Again microchip at one of our offices, Glenroads & LeClaire Veterinary Clinics will make a donation to the Scott County Humane Society in your pet's name. To view the Scott County Humane Society's website please click the link below.
